The member being referred to determines what counts or does not count as a referral; Typically, once a referral is made and the member connects with that lead, the connection constitutes a referral. When a Sources member is referring themselves to another Sources member, money must exchange hands for the referral to count. An online referral form must be fully filled out, which will notify both parties (and the referral tracker) about the referral.
The purpose of the group is to expand our businesses. Networking and passing referrals is a must for SOURCES to survive. The involvement and commitment of each member is important to the success of SOURCES. Each member is expected to give a minimum of two referrals per month to remain in the group. These numbers are tracked on a weekly basis. It is the responsibility of the referring member to ensure that their numbers are tracked accurately. If the minimum requirement is not kept, a written reminder will be delivered as the first notification. If expectations are still not met, a verbal reminder will be made. If the issue is still not resolved, the member may be asked to leave the group.
Your fellow Sources members are your best business references, as you are theirs. Member loyalty to each other will enable the group to successfully refer and continue to grow every year. Think of yourself as a SALES FORCE for Sources and Sources as a SALES FORCE for your business. Remember, the purpose of this group is to expand our businesses through networking and referrals.
Yes. You are required to bring visitors who are seeking membership, provided that occupation is open. The requirement is at least one guest per month. We do welcome any visitor (ie: spouse, someone new to the area), however, if their occupation conflicts with a member occupation, they may not speak about their business, nor will they be eligible to join. They can introduce themselves and give a reason for their visit. The member who brings the most guests each quarter will receive a $10 gift card from Dutch Brothers. If several members actively invite the same person and that person attends the meeting each member who invited that person can count that as their guest for the month. The Attendance and Referral Coordinator will keep track of all guests invited to our meetings and will be announcing the winners on a quarterly basis. A spreadsheet is also provided at the weekly meeting for tracking referrals.
You will receive a 24-hour notice via email from the Membership Coordinator or the Chairperson. If you have invited guests, you must inform guests to notify you when they plan to attend the meeting to avoid having them show up if the meeting has been canceled. We will also attempt to put up signs at the location that it has been canceled. However, it is your responsibility to call the Membership Coordinator or the Chairperson if there is any confusion on whether a meeting has been canceled. Meetings will most likely be canceled during school closures or delays.
You are required to give at least 2 referrals per month. This will be tracked by the Referral Coordinator. If you are not caught up, you will receive a written reminder, and if you are still not caught up by the end of the following month, you may be asked to leave the group. No refunds on member dues will be issued. Remember, the purpose of this group is to expand our business through networking and referrals. This will be stressed weekly.
Yes, an alternate may attend six (6) times per year, and never more than two (2) consecutive meetings. You will be responsible to explain the policies and procedures to your alternate. Attendance policies will still apply.
Sources networking meetings start promptly at 8:15 am and end at 9:15 am. If you missed your turn on the agenda to present, you will not be able to present. Attendance at these meetings is crucial so that the group gets to know you and your business better. It only hurts you if you do not attend. If you know that you will not be able to attend, you must contact the Attendance Coordinator before the meeting. After 2 unexcused absences, you will receive a reminder phone call before the next meeting from the Membership Coordinator to assess your status. After a third unexcused absence, you will receive a phone call and letter from the Membership Coordinator terminating your membership. No refunds on membership fees will be issued.
